Senior Retreat

Sorry for the long break. Facebook and physical social contact can do everything this blog does now. Senior Retreat was pretty cool, better than classes fo' sho'. Capture the Flag was awesome. We won 2-1 but I must admit the teams were a bit stacked in our favor. Unfortuneatly I didn't get that big an opportunity to go on offense and defense was boring. CTF + Woods = definitely not smart. A got wrapped up in a vine and Julia lost her cell making a gradewide search. Boring. Sides that it was funny to watch different skits people made. Got them on video. Anyone know where I could post em?

First Day of School

Woot, well school started today. To much fan fair I'm sure. Most people wore suits and dresses, most. Jumped right into school from vacation up to New England. Saw Brown, Tufts, Boston Univ., Univ. of New Hampshire, and Northeastern. Liked em all but Northeastern. UNH had these awesome hand scanners instead of card passes for doors and the cafeteria. So Bond. Though I liked their co-op thingamagigger. Got to chop wood and hike, swim in virgin lakes and all that country shit. I love it. Interspersed with colleges it was a very handy vacation. Woods Hole was fun as always though rainy. It rains where ever I go and only lets up on the last day, it's really pissing me off but reminds me of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy if you've read Moslty Harmless.

I'm going to bring my Sega Gensis and games into school tomorrow for our lounge. Hope that shit doesn't get stolen. Lots of memories in that Streets of Rage, Rocket Knight, Boogerman, Vectorman, etc. Should be protected by their age though. Saw the old copyrights on that shit, 93ish, I was only 4 but I swear I bought that thing at age 6 or something. I had the Nomad, the portable genesis. Hot 64-bit shit back then. Straight 6 periods tomorrow, yeah. At least they're not all IBs. Still gotta figure out a poster for our senior play which I haven't read but I am proud to say that I sculpted another model for my theatre project. Post pics below:

So I have these 4 models. The one on the right is the most recent and is as of yet to dry. She is also the only female. I was watching "Meet Joe Black", a good relax pensive movie, so she looks kinda like that hot actress in the movie Claire Forlani. Well maybe not alot but...to me kinda...she's hot anyway. In that movie especially. And Brad Pitt's really good too. So eerie. Anyways the other three are guys, the happy one is Hoeder and the sad/confused ones are Hugo from "Dirty Hands" my Sartre. The woman is Hugo's wife Jessica. Some of my sketches, for the mask and otherwise:

Besides that I got some photos from the first day of school...in the LOUNGE. I just love tossing that word in in front of those without lounge privelages, suckas.

Me Behind the Wheel

Got my first opportunity to try out my new Learner's Permit in a parking lot with the lot guards watching. Nice guy let us in though. Got 30 min of my required 40 hrs! Nice! I did allright, I think. After all it was my first time unless you include golf carts, bumper cars, go-carts or jet skis. At least I have all my video game expierience from BurnOut, hahaha!

I was looking at Naviance's list of colleges, just scrolling through by state to find Boston, NYC and Chicago city schools and I realized...I am quickly scrolling through my future. Each hyperlink was like an alternate road to the future. If I stopped and clicked on this college instead of that one, or this one...it could completely change where I go and therefore my actualy future! Crazy shit how big a choice this is. Besides the whole "education" part, this determines practically who will be my friends in the next 4 years and maybe for the rest of my life. Hell it's possible I'll meet the girl I'll eventually marry! My mom and dad met when they were both in college...I think? And my mom still has friends to this day from college who are practically my aunts! Crazy fucking shit...ellipsis...NO PRESSURE.

Woot I'm in France

Immediately forgive any typos as I'm using a French keyboard which is a bit different and therefore hard to adjust to. So the flight was fine, no hitches. Everyhing as a mater of fact has been fine. I can communicate fine and although sometimes I lack the voabulary or the pronunciation I'm getting alon fine and can actually comunicate with so,e ease to people outside of those I'm staying with.

Romain has a great house, three bros (it gets really crazy alot) and also hes got a seaside appt in Narbonne and all these awesome sea activities (a boat, windsurfing boards, waterskis, innertube, all of it!). I didn't do too well at any of that stuf but it was fun and I got the wounds to prove it. Its actually kind of hard switching back to english after all this time in french mode.

My constant companion has been my pocket dictionarry. Mostly I've visited churches and cathedrals theres so many of them. But recently cause we're in the clarmont region we've been seeing alot of old volcanoes and counryside all very beautiful like the volcano lake we visited today. I'll post all my pics when I get back, start a flckr account.

The cameras been taking great photos, only the memory card got wiped for some reason. I did drop it but it may have also been the fact that the card is cheap. So everythings going fine, I don't knoz who's around still to read this but bonjour de France!

Décollage en 1...2...3

I'm sitting here. Waiting to leave for France. I've packed up everything, maybe a little too much clothing? The bag's a bit heavy but better to have more than not enough. I'm fully versed in the use of my new camera. Check out some sample snaps, most are from work. Nice 6 mp quality.

Camper with awesome costume/props for his film

Behold the power of the beard! (at cheescake factory). "Troubleshooter" Joachim on right and awesome peer Ron on left.

Great dinner at Cheescake with my colleagues. Good time. Said goodbye to everyone on Friday and had my exit interview. All went well. Can't wait for payday though. Watched Hustle & Flow c/o Netflix. Awesome movie. I need the soundtrack bad though. I'll try and bring stuff back for everyone, food probably if I'm allowed. It's gonna be a long flight. I'll get there (Toulouse) about 24 hrs from now, maybe later. See I'm going through Iceland and then to Paris. If my flight in Paris is delayed I'll be later. I hope I can communicate well enough to get through, we'll pray! Bye everyone. You can still e-mail me and I'll check this blog some but my mom's now using my phone so don't call it and leave dirty messages or anything. See ya!

PS: For theatre researche project I've got all my materials and I decided on doing a play by Sartre (you know, guy who wrote "No Exit" about hell). Awesome playwright.
